Grand Forks, North Dakota is more than just one city in one state. It is one city divided by the Red River of the North. Half the city is in North Dakota and the other half is in Minnesota. The towns have built a fantastic greenway to showcase the beauty of the Red River valley. It has an interesting relationship with the Red River of the North. The Red River has provided the local agricultural industry for generations, yet some years the river spills over its banks and flood the town. Rosemont, Illinois is located just outside of Chicago and provides a great place to stay without paying Chicago prices.
