Eiffel Tower

Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Photo Thursday was taken while I was visiting Paris, France for training before I headed off to Equatorial Guinea.    The Eiffel Tower is the iconic landmark of France.  This was my second trip to Paris so I didn’t feel the need to head up the tower but I did stop by for a visit.

The Eiffel Tower was built as a temporary structure for the  1889 World’s Fair.  The tower was initially disliked by many Parisians but they have grown to love it.  The tower is 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall and is the tallest building in Paris.  The tower has two way up: the elevator and the stairs.
