Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Spotlight Thursday is from my time living in Fort Collins, Colorado. One week I had some free time so I decided to drive down and hike the Hanging Lake Trail. Hanging Lake trail is hidden above the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon. Glenwood Canyon is a unique canyon. It is one of my favorite canyon drives in the United States. Interstate 70 which runs thru the canyon was specifically designed to preserve the natural beauty of the canyon.
“Your pass has expired.” My jaw dropped. I couldn’t believe it. My America the Beautiful National Park Pass had expired. It feels like just yesterday that I bought the pass and now it is expired. I got over my shock and reached into my wallet and handed my credit card over. Time to pay $80.00 for another park pass.
Hello 2016. I can’t wait to see what you bring in my adventures. 2015 was a great year for exploring the world. I visited 3 continents and 7 countries. I had some great adventures and some amazing experiences. I even had time to visit a few US states and cross 5 National Parks off my list.
Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Spotlight Thursday is from Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in San Luis Valley, Colorado. I have visited this park twice during my internship in Colorado during the summer of 2012. This is one of the items from my Colorado Bucket List. Great Sand Dunes and I have a love-hate relationship.
Colorado is a state known for many things. The diverse landscape changes from the plains of the midwest into the Rocky Mountains. Most of the population lives in the land along the Front Range of the Rockies. During college, I spent 3 months living and exploring this great state and currently I am living in Fort Collins and using the time to explore. Here is my Colorado Bucket List.
