Paris, France, the City of Lights and the City of Love. It is the home of many famous landmarks. The Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral, and last but not least the Eiffel Tower. Instantly recognizable by most of the world population. This landmark was built to the 1889 Exposition Universelle (World’s Fair). No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower is located in the 7th of Paris Arrondissements.
Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels. Today’s Photo Thursday is from the top of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Italy. Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore is also know as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of central Florence. The Cathedral was consecrated in 1436 and the basillica is one of the largest in Italy. The Cathedral’s distinctive exterior is made of white, green and red marble was added in 1864.
