My First Cross Country Solo US Road Trip

“Review this list and determine suitability,” is the first line of an email from my father. He also includes a list of four cars as well. I stare at the email for a couple minutes. 8 Great Reason to Work in Mount Rainier National Park

Starting in early May, over 200 people arrive to work in Mount Rainier National Park.  These people come from all over the world to spend the summer in the Park.  These people live and work on the mountain.  They are split between the National Park Inn, Paradise Inn, and Sunrise Visitor Center.  The staff comes from different walks of life; the college students, the park bums, and the retires looking for something to do. Photo Thursday – Snowshoeing by Paradise River

Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels.  Today’s Photo Thursday comes from Mount Rainier National Park in Washington, USA.  This photo was taking on during an after work snowshoeing adventure.  A friend and I got off work and decided we would hike from Paradise Inn to Longmire on the Narada Falls Trail.  It was early season so snowshoes and a good sense of navigation.  We had to race against the clock to get down the mountain in time to catch the last shuttle back up to Paradise Inn.  On a quick water break, we found this marvelous view of Paradise River and the snow pack.
