Spotlight Thursday – Sunset in the dunes of Rub’ al Khali

Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from double exposure photography. Today’s Photo Thursday was taken while I was living in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.    I spent my last couple of days in the UAE  at a 5 star desert resort in the Rub’ al Khali.  Rub’ al Khali is the largest contiguous sand desert and takes up one-third of the Arabian peninsula.  The sand dunes are made of a fine red sand that helps reflect the colors of the sun. Spotlight Thursday – Summiting Guadalupe Peak in Guadalupe Mountains National Park

Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Spotlight Thursday is from the top of Guadalupe Peak.  I took this photo on one of my cross-country US road trips.  On my way from Tennessee to Colorado, I stopped and spent a couple of days in Guadalupe Mountains National Park.  This park sits on the border of Texas and New Mexico.  The closest town is Carlsbad, New Mexico. Spotlight Thursday – Hiking in Tayrona National Natural Park, Colombia

Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Spotlight Thursday is from my trip to Colombia. The highlight of the trip was the couple of days spent hiking in Tayrona National Natural Park.  Tayrona National Natural Park is a highlight on any trip to the Caribbean coast of Colombia.   The park is a short 30 min and 21 miles from the city of Santa Marta.  The park is a biologically diverse park.  It ranges from the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to the arid region by the sea.
