Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Photo Thursday was taken while I was visiting Paris, France for training before I headed off to Equatorial Guinea. The Eiffel Tower is the iconic landmark of France. This was my second trip to Paris so I didn’t feel the need to head up the tower but I did stop by for a visit.
Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Spotlight Thursday is from my visit to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. The North Rim was the last stop on my 2012 National Park Road Trip. Grand Canyon National Park was my 27th National Park on my quest to visit all 59 US National Parks.
Every Thursday, I will be posting a photo from my travels and a spotlight on the location. Today’s Spotlight Thursday is from my trip to Colombia. The highlight of the trip was the couple of days spent hiking in Tayrona National Natural Park. Tayrona National Natural Park is a highlight on any trip to the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The park is a short 30 min and 21 miles from the city of Santa Marta. The park is a biologically diverse park. It ranges from the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to the arid region by the sea.
The feeder is currently empty, but I know with a little patience, I am sure I will be rewarded. I quietly unpack my camera gear and set up my tripod. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a blue streak fly by. Gotta! There goes the reason I hike the Valley of Cocora and the Acaime Natural Reserve.
