Florida is the state of beaches. It has the most coastline of any state in the lower 48 states. The state was founded by the Spanish in 1500. It is home to the oldest European city in the United States. The state is virtually flat, the highest point is only 345 ft (105 m) high. The state is called the sunshine state due to the sunny year around weather. Here is my Florida Bucket List.
I step out of my rental car and the smell hits me, I wondered if I should have gone to a waterpark instead, after all, Los Angeles has plenty of water parks, but I had decided that this trip was going to be an educational one. Oh, that smell, I can recognize that smell anywhere. I can smell the freshly laid asphalt. Despite the smell, the parking lot isn’t freshly paved. It’s the smell of the nearby tar pits of Hancock Park or more famously known as the La Brea Tar Pits. La Brea is world-renowned for its collections of ice age fossils. The site is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, California. This place is amazing for anyone who is interested in experience LA for themselves, and there are a lot are some great places to stay, for example, somewhere like StayTony or any of the other amazing places that LA has to offer. Even “the La Brea Tar Pits”.
Nashville, Tennessee, commonly called Music City, USA, is a city of music. Several of the city’s small cafés and bars have set the scene for the early careers of many of country musicians. While the city notably focuses on music, its many different facets also offer visitors much to explore, being the state capital of Tennessee — and home to a world-class art museum.
There is a world of things, attractions, and places to visit. During college, I started to notice a trend. Many people have traveled far and wide and yet haven’t done the traditional activities that are their hometown attractions. I attended college in Florida and many of my classmates hadn’t been to Disney or Kennedy Space Center. I couldn’t believe that they grew up a couple of hours from the site and had never been. Although it’s not like, I am innocent in this either.
I have always been skeptical about the Hop On Hop Off bus tours. I have always thought they were a waste of money and time. Why pay for a bus ticket that only have a couple of stops when most tourist cites have a decent public transportation city. I made my opinion after glancing at a brochure I was handed while wandering around during my first trip to London. I didn’t bother to look any further into Hop On Hop Off bus tours.
